With over 2,000 members in more than 80 chapters, Harmony, Inc. has been entertaining audiences throughout the United States and Canada since 1959.

Harmony, Inc. was established in 1959 when a group of 150 women formed an organization focused on democratic principles and open communication to all members.

Harmony, Inc. recently returned to their roots in Providence, Rhode Island from November 11 to November 14, 2009 for its International Contest and Convention, where they celebrated 50 years of harmony.

Providence, Rhode Island was the official birthplace of Harmony, Inc.

Today Harmony, Inc. is a nonprofit international singing organization for women who are dedicated to the performance, promotion and preservation of four-part a cappella harmony in the barbershop style, personal growth and development through music and leadership education, the practice of democratic principles, and the celebration of friendship.
