Want to be a better singer? Need help getting your chapter off the ground? IC&C is more than just contests and singing. We are fortunate that our talented members and panel volunteer of their time to help us all become Harmony Stronger. Be sure to take advantage of this opportunity during IC&C. Classes will be offered Thursday and Saturday mornings. You can view the class descriptions here.

In celebration of our 60th Anniversary and Harmony.Stronger., Harmony, Inc. is selling T-Shirts. The T-shirts must be pre-ordered and must be picked up at IC&C 2019; no shirts will be shipped. An information sheet and the order form are available on our IC&C page.

Grab and Go Food available for Sale
The Quartet Semi-final Contest on Thursday and Chorus Contest on Friday will each have two scheduled breaks along with an hour break for lunch. In addition to the restaurant options throughout the hotel, food will also be available for purchase in the Grand Hall both days during the entire contest time. You can pay cash, credit card or charge back to your room.

The hotel is offering our group rate three days pre- and post- conference (based on availability).  Here are some of the many things you can do while in the area:
Sandusky – although Sandusky’s top attraction, Cedar Point, will be closed in November, there are lots of other places to explore.  Check them out by clicking here.
Cleveland – check out the Official Visitors Guide for a comprehensive look at area attractions, and activities or the  Dining Guide for an overview of Cleveland’s culinary scene and a list of restaurants by area.  The Show Your Badge Program: allows you to  simply show your conference badge when visiting participating partners found at www.thisiscleveland.com/syb in order to receive an exclusive offer.

Registration Forms are posted on the IC&C website and can be quickly accessed from the IC&C home page.  Forms are due September 15 and may be returned by ground mail with a check or money order or by email with payment through PayPal, PopMoney or for payment in Canada, by E-Mail Transfer through your Bank.   All prices are in US funds but may be paid in Canadian equivalent with exchange calculated on the day of payment.

Know B4 You Go:  One of the best parts about IC&C is getting to meet so many people from so many places who share your love of singing. This is exemplified in our International Chorus – comprised of members of each chorus that come together to learn a song and perform on the IC&C stage after the Chorus Competition on Friday.  We encourage you to sign up for this incredible experience.  You will be sent the music ahead of time and there will be a rehearsal on Thursday morning

Know B4 You Go: Concerned about mobility issues? We have requested that all Harmony rooms be close to the convention center, but you can also call the hotel and request a room close to an elevator. You can also rent a scooter while at the Kalahari if needed. The cost is $100 plus $50 delivery. A credit card and driver’s license number are required. The 2019 IC&C schedule has been posted! Please note it is subject to change. We will post the final version closer to contest time! It’s getting real!!

You may have noticed a couple of new items on this year’s agenda. The dedicated hotel check-in will allow our membership to check-in to the hotel at HI designated kiosks. This will help streamline the check-in process during peak times. The Quartet celebration Room is an opportunity for our competing quartets to “re-group” after they leave the stage and before they return to the audience. It’s a private place for you to celebrate your great accomplishment! We will have more details about these and many more things in upcoming enotes.

Know B4 You Go: We are going green! In an effort to be more environmentally friendly, we will only be printing the Official Scoring Summary for contestants (one per quartet, four per chorus). Scores will be posted online shortly after each contest as well as posted in the hospitality room.

Know B4 You Go: Rooms at the Kalahari are equipped with a coffee maker, mini fridge and microwave so you can bring your own snacks and drinks for your stay!

Ladies – You are an impressive group! Reservations have only been open for four hours and we have reached 50% of our room block!! I know there have been some issues with the hotel reservations this morning and I want to apologize. We didn’t see any of these when we tested the site before launch! Please note the taxes for OH are now 13.75% not 12.25% as listed in your email. Additionally, if you booked this morning the hotel mistakenly included a resort fee in your billing summary. They have been made aware and will be taking that off before charging your card and sending a new confirmation. Anyone booking from this point on should not have any issues. I appreciate your patience as we work through these issues. Oh how I miss a simple phone call! LOL

Are you ready to make your hotel reservations for IC&C? The link will be sent to your email inbox at noon on Monday. You will need your CC number with billing address and names and email addresses for your roommates to complete your reservation.

There are two ways to check-in to your hotel room.  You can go to the front desk at any time or take advantage of the Harmony Inc. dedicated check-in located in the Convention Center.  The dedicated check-in is available Wednesday, November 6th from 11 am – 8 pm and Thursday, November 7 from 10 am – 2 pm.
