Engaging Virtual Rehearsal with Jennifer Cook - Tuesday, May 6th 7:30 Eastern

With the expansion of virtual tools in musical endeavors, virtual learning can be both meaningful and engaging in chorus and quartet rehearsal time.  In this class, we'll discuss how to utilize technology to engage learners, whether a full virtual rehearsal or an in-person rehearsal with virtual participants.  Learn how to make the most of learning time for ALL singers!

Building an Inclusive Chorus Culture with Tessa Walker  - 5-Part Series beginning on Thursday, May 8th at 7:30

Sessions geing May 8th and continue June 12th, July 10th, August 14th and September 11th 

We should all be striving to create a more inclusive and welcoming space within our organization. But, where do we start? How do we know if it's working? How do we know if it's enough? Is there ever an end? These are some of the questions we'll explore in Building an Inclusive Chorus Culture. Tessa Walker is high school choral director and prides herself on the chorus culture she has created with her students. She was also part of the team that started a brand new treble chorus from the ground up within a well-established BHS TTBB chorus chapter. Culture plays an imperative role in the success of starting a new chorus and aiding in the longevity of one. So whether you are wanting to improve your current ensemble's culture, trying to go in a different direction than before, or just want fresh ideas for creating better spaces for others around you, come be a part of this incredibly worthwhile conversation.
