Area 1 – East Coast Kitchen Party June 5-8
Area 1 members are getting their recipes and all the things ready to head for an awesome East Coast Kitchen Party!
What an amazing convention and contest for all! Seven chorus qualified for International! Congratulations to A Cappella Showcase on an amazing performance with a score of 84.3! Also qualifying for International are the Capital Chordettes, Inc., Nickel City Sound, Scarborough Harmony Chorus, Shades of Harmony, Sing Niagara, and the Thousand Islanders.
Sapphire Quartet won the gold medal and trophy and a ticket to International, joining them will be Emerald, Onyx and Wicked Pitches
MBHA Champions Empire Quarter with a score of 83.7%!
Tempe Trail: The Path to Harmony Fest West!
Are you following along our intrepid Quartet the Trailblazers as the make their way to Tempe? What trip to convention would complete without forgetting something? Fortunately, they’ve encountered the best Barbershop Friends! So far they received Red Capes from Barbara McIntosh, a shovel from the Beautiful Bellamy (fifth member of Legacy Quartet), a gold medal from Katie Taylor, a pitch pipe from Jordan Travis, they recently acquired new arrangements from David Wright and Sandi Wright has our quartet beautifully attired. What will happen next? Be sure to follow along!
But wait! You can be a part of this amazing adventure too! We invite you to join us July 10-13 in Tempe, Arizona for Harmony Inc.’s inaugural Harmony Fest! Come for the contest, come for the education or just to support Harmony Inc.’s expansion project! The journey will be worth it!

Because the HIVE sessions are recorded, we have an extensive HIVE Library that is chocked full of amazing educational offerings covering everything from the history of barbershop to vocal production. This allows our members to find an educational opportunity at a time that’s right for them.

HIVE Moderator - This volunteer reports to the Education Coordinator. The HIVE moderator is responsible for connecting with the instructor prior to class time to go over details. During the class, they handle the class/instructor introductions, goes over the rules, records the class, and manages the chat and the Q&A. Candidates for this position should possess sound organizational and communication skills. PR Coordinator - The International Marketing Communications Team is seeking a skilled and creative writer to serve as volunteer PR Coordinator. In Search of Mentors – Administrative Leadership Program Pilot, a mentoring program for future leaders is currently recruiting Mentors. Prospective mentors will complete a questionnaire to identify their leadership skills, leadership position they have held in their careers, and leadership positions held with Harmony, Inc. Please consider sharing your skills and expertise to develop our future leaders. Sara Stone our Administrative Leadership Mentoring Coordinator requests “If you are interested, drop me an email and I will send the Mentor questionnaire to you to complete.”
